We are excited to bring the Ride For Life Challenge to Brisbane again in 2017. On Sunday the 29th of October the Brisbane BMW & Westside BMW Ride For Life Challenge will tour around an 80km route through Brisbane City and out to Cleveland before returning to the start venue.
Start & Finish:
Northshore Riverside Park, Hamilton
This year we have changed the route back to the original… well almost. We’ve made a slight change which sees cyclists peddling over the Story Bridge! From there riders will enjoy a fairly straight forward roll out to Cleveland Point where refreshments, toilets and mechanical support will be located. The ride home will be via Wynnum along the water and over the Gateway Bridge, entering the Northshore precinct through some new (and less confusing) roadways. Early bird entry of $99 closes at midnight Friday 11th August, 2017 (includes jersey size guarantee!).
Standard entry of $109 from Saturday 12th August, 2017.
Includes official event jersey valued at $95, bike number, light brunch, and sponsor giveaways/offers.
This year we are offering a pack postage option for $13.80. This is available for registrations received by 30 September, 2017. If you’d like to take up this option please add postage to your registration when asked. Packs will be posted out within the first two weeks of October.
For those who did not take up the pack postage option or entered after 30 September, your rider pack can be collected from the event site at Hamilton on Saturday 28 October between 9.00am-2.00pm.
5.00am – 11.00am. Your start time will be communicated 2 weeks out from the event date.
Note: riders will be prompted to select a speed group upon entering into this event and will be allocated to their cycle pack at kit collection.
This fully supported ride will include cycle pack police escorts, course cycle guides, a rest stop with refreshments, first aid, mechanical support and support vehicles. The format of this ride is unique, and riders in each pack will stay together, rather than ride from A to B on their own. For this reason, it is important that your speed grouping is accurately selected upon booking.
Corporate groups, cycling/tri teams and individuals are encouraged to register. This is a social event, but due to the cycle pack format of this event and level of difficulty of the set course, this event is not suitable for young children, mountain bikes, or those whom have never ridden on the road before.
Ride pack collection will take place at Northshore Riverside Park, which is also the start/finish location on the Event Day. Ample parking is available just 300m from the event venue, please utilise this allocated space rather than street parking or Cafe car park.
